Multiple .rules - files / refresh ?

Hi

Seems like a great product, but i think I'm missing a couple of features.

1) Is it possible to setup multiple .rules files ?

2) Is the rules refreshed on a regular basis or when the file is changed ?

The reason i ask is because i'm in need of having sort of "real-rules" which is handled on a regular basis by either a web-master or system-administrator - but i also need a mechanism to make sure that certain "aliases" can deep-link to somewhere on my site. The latter is used by ordinary-content users within our cms system and if 1+2 was possible i think this is the way to accomplish the task - just by making a rules module for the cms system we use.

Thanx in advance !

Alternatively i think that an implementation of the RewriteMap rule would solve the same problem ?

But as far as i can read that specific rule is not supported !

Thanx again,

Hi Ojo,

(1) is supported and (2) is supported for when the file is changed.

Alternatively, I do allow you to compile rules in to your application for critical path sort of stuff.  These application level rules always execute first, and these rules can be programatically added and refreshed.

Let me know which you want to do and I can help you out.

My app doesn't yet support RewriteMap, it is on my list of things to do.

Thanks,
Nick

Excellent - thanx for the quick anwser.

I'll have a go with multiple rule-files and see how it goes.
